A European style courtyard sits in the midst of water-wise (eau sage) plants that bathe in the sun. The beauty and effect of gravel fringes the edges of plants suited for the Pacific Northwest. Plants appreciate the sharp drainage that gravel mulch provides in a wet winter as well as the ability to capture heat from the sun in all seasons.
